About Bonnie Bauer

Bonnie Bauer’s career reflects a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and helping others navigate important life decisions. Raised on the East Coast in New York and New Jersey, Bonnie spent her summers along the Jersey Shore and in the Berkshire Mountains of New England, where she worked as a sailing and water-skiing instructor. Growing up within close proximity to New York City also fostered a lifelong appreciation for theater, museums, art, and culture.

Bonnie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duke University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Her professional career began as a Public Health Nurse serving communities in the mountains of Virginia, followed by a distinguished leadership role at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, where she served as Clinical Nursing Director overseeing Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, and Stroke services.

Her transition to real estate was a natural extension of her dedication to guiding people through important milestones with care, knowledge, and professionalism. As a Realtor® with Ebby Halliday Realtors, Bonnie has earned recognition on the Ebby Halliday Honor Roll and as one of D Magazine’s Best Realtors.

Deeply committed to community and professional service, Bonnie has held leadership roles including President of the Duke Club of San Antonio, Chair of the Duke Alumni Admissions Committee for San Antonio, and member of the Duke Advisory Board. She has also served on the boards of the YWCA of San Antonio, San Antonio Child Abuse Council, San Antonio Hospice, Kourage, and the Lakeside Park HOA, and is a founding member of the Pacesetters networking group. She is an active member of MetroTex, the Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.

Family is central to Bonnie’s life. She is the proud mother of three children—graduates of Duke University and the University of Texas whose paths continued to SMU and Emory Law Schools—and she treasures time with her four teenage grandchildren.

Bonnie’s personal interests include travel (including ten years maintaining an apartment in Paris), tennis, swimming, hiking, theater, reading, and entertaining. Above all, she values meaningful time spent with family and friends.
